It's been a while, and I have lots to catch up on!
For starters, this weekend we moved Jonathan back down to Birmingham for the summer...it was sad. I'm sad. But, I'll get over it (hopefully), and we'll get through it. It's just three months, and he has the opportunity to clerk for two wonderful firms again this summer. It's hard to really complain about that, although I have given it my best shot.
We did get to spend a wonderful weekend in Birmingham with family and friends, which is always a plus! Josh and Bonnie threw an excellent party to celebrate Jonathan's homecoming and their new roommate for the summer. He he :) Yes, Jonathan is bunking with the Birmingham Littles for the summer, and I have to say I'm a little jealous. They have a pretty sweet set up there in Homewood, and the cooking isn't too shabby either ;) I hope he wants to come home when the time comes!
We went to services this morning at Vestavia, and I was reminded of how much I miss everyone. I got a little teary-eyed during Jason's lesson and just wanted to share the passage of scripture that we discussed. I know it's there and have read it time and again, but for some reason it struck me a little differently this morning.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths."

ReplyDeleteThere are LOTS of fun times to be had this summer, so just keep counting down the days till the next one!! Josh is really amping up the house hunt for your future home, by the way... Maybe you can spend the summer planning the interior design for it! :)

ReplyDeleteBon, I love that Josh is so interested in our future house! I get the feeling it worries Jonathan though. I think he thinks that I'm getting my hopes up...and I think he's right!
